TRADE PROCEDURE
__________________To get started trading, first post in this thread. It is recommended you enter into any trade discussion with the standard drop ratios in mind: Iron:Copper 5:1 Iron: Silver 9:1 Iron:Gold 19:1 Copper:Silver 2:1 Copper:Gold 4:1 Silver:gold 2:1 The best way to contact another trader is through an in-game note. Be sure to explain clearly that you are interested in trading ores, and state what type of or you have and what type of their ore you want. If the person you contact indicates they are not interested in that trade, please ask them to update their post on this thread. TRADING ORES FOR INGOTS Any type of ingot counts as 5 ores of the same type. Be sure the party you're trading with is interested in ingots over ores. For instance, a player using the Erinn Ore Exchange to get iron ores for blacksmithing will happily take iron ingots in exchange for their copper/silver/gold ores. This saves them time refining the ores as well as allowing you to still get your skill training by refining them. TRADES BY MAIL To expedite the trading process, you may send another party a certain amount of ore in the mail. This has the advantage of both parties not having to be online at the same time, as well as giving your trading partner time to mine in order to fill the order. Be sure to state on the mail you send which kind of ore you're requesting in return. You should also send that party a note to make sure they know to check their mailbox. Because you cannot require an item to be sent back before the other party takes your ores, it is best to do this in smaller quantities. You alone are responsible for the safety of your ores. Be sure to only trade this way with people you trust. TRADE WITH NON-EXCHANGE MEMBERS You are free to trade with players who are not members of the Erinn Ore Exchange. In doing so, you should bring up these two threads and add another ore supplier to the fold. Remember, the more the merrier. WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU CAN'T FIND A TRADING PARTNER You can save the ores for a later rank at which they become more desirable, or simply refine them yourself. If you're running out of room to store your ores, create a new Nexon account using an email address from 10 Minute Mail (google it), get the free human character to Vales and Filia, and voila! Three characters you can mail ores to for storage, and to top it off they get free extra bank storage as long as you never level them up. PRE-WRITTEN TRADES FOR REFINING RANKS PRACTICE THROUGH 2
__________________The following trades are based on the amount of training you get per successful ingot compared to the drop rates of other ores. Using these pre-written trades makes sure you get the most skill training per trip into Barri by trading "undesirable" ores for the ones that will give you more training when the trade is completed. It is recommended you do these trades whenever possible to help you train Refining easier. These trades only apply before you finish your success training for a particular type of ore. Once you finish success training on a type of ore, trade it for any other type of ore at your own preference. Quote:
